Happy New Year! We hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and are ready for another busy term!
Our whole school topic this term is 'Muddy Puddles'. Our roleplay this term will be an art studio, where the children can use different resources to get creative. In addition to this, our Art lessons will focus on the work of Claude Monet and we will create our own water lily piece using chalk pastels.
Within our Geography lessons, we will be learning about the country of Pakistan. In the first few weeks, we will be learning all about Malala Yousafzai and how she fought for education for girls. We will focus on the book 'Malala's Magic Pencil' and discuss her courage and resilience when fighting for what she believed in. Following on from this, we will talk about causes that we care about and what we would like to change in the world.
During our Science lessons, we shall be learning about living things and their habitats. We shall be grouping, identifying and naming a variety of living things within the school environment and beyond.
Our RE topic this term is Christianity. We will be looking at how Christian belief is expressed collectively and how worship and celebration builds a sense of community.
PE this term will be with the sports coach each Monday and also each Wednesday. Please remember to send your child to school with their PE kit.
Y4 children are invited to join Art Club and Tag Rugby this term. Both clubs are held on a Monday. Please let us know if you would like your child to join one of these clubs.
If you have any questions, please pop in to see us.
